i am changing my gears out, but i am trying to decided between 4.10s and 4.56s, i currently have 3.73s. I have 33 in tires right now, i want to go to 35 in tires, and then i also pull a 4-5k lb trailer everyweekend. what size should i go?

How far you pull the trailer?
You won't see that much of a difference from going 3.73 to 4.10. But you will definitely notice the change to a 4.56!
with 35s i'd go with the 4.56s
i usually pull it around 150 miles a round trip every weekend.
if your towing, i would go with the 4.56's. you may lose some gas mileage, but that thing would be a dog with the 4.11's.
i have 33's with the 3.73's and it had a hard time trailering an '86 chevy 30 miles
If you stay 33s' go 4.30s and if you go 35's Id just do the 4.56s
My brother has 02 ECSB Z71 5.3 35's with 4.56 and it is the perfect gear tire combo for light towing and street/highway driving. Tows great and still gets about 15/16mpg highway unloaded.
Id say run 4.56s though and get it over with. Everyone wants to go bigger right?
yes, always want to go bigger. lol 15/16 is better than i am getting now, right now i am getting 11 in city and 9 towing.
456s,
hell if i was auto again i would have 456s with a 30" tire rather alone 35s
I have 4:11 on 35" and wish every day that I would have done 4:56. 4:11 will just bring the RPM back to stock.
that is what i was thinking....just wanted to get everyones :twocents:
