Track times on the LQ9 swap

Most of ya'll remember we did the LQ9 swap in my buddies truck about a month ago. We recently put a cam, stall and misc stuff in it. Here the list of mods

224/224 .581 .581 112lsa
Wheatley Tune
3400 Stall
Transgo Shift Kit
Pacesetter Longtubes with ORY
Servos


All this is in an extended cab GMC with 23s and a bedcover

We went to the track on Sunday and put slicks on the back and on the 3rd run it finally hooked by kind of rolling off the line. Heres what she did

13.72 @ 96.17
8.7x @ I cant remember

Remember all this is with 3.23 gears and an open dif! The Posi and 4.10s will go in soon!

I forgot to add. We ran it at the track before the swap when he had the 4.8 and 23s and it went 17.6.

So he dropped 4 seconds in the quarter in a matter of 4 weeks.

Most def it is! with all the audio inside. and 23s and bedcover

Good MPH. Gears will help a lot....especially combined with that converter.

Nice to know what Ill be getting out of my truck. I have the motor but the truck will come next year.

so wait, what truck did this go into? year body style? and what was his 60ft?

You forgot to mention the DA was + 2043 and we were running into a 30mph head wind, not cross wind HEAD ON. With good DA, winds that are not blowing in your face, posi rear and good traction that truck is a low 13 high 12, oh and exhuast work. Best I could do for the day was a 12.89 (corrected to a 12.57)

It went into a 2006 GMC Extended Cab. Fiberglass Bedcover, 23 inch rims, shaved tailgate roll pan, a little under 10k in audio/video on the inside. It is heavy.

The best 60ft for the day was 2.0x.

doubt it even with the wind at his tail its gonna take a little more than a 6.0 and cam to see 12s maybe if you added 150-200 shot it would see mid to high 12s. btw screw da correction what you run is what you run

Well actually the correction was dead on for wade. His best ever was 12.58 in good D/A. So its pretty accurate.

I don't know what well see when the gears and posi go in. But 13.72 was pretty good for open dif and 323s

Thing looks like a 4x4. :laugh: He's got it all donk'd. All he needs now it the chrome 23" numbers for the fenders. :lol:

These are the only ones that I have. There have been changes since these like painted mirrors, front bumper valance. New tinted LED tails

Not to jack, but how do you correct a 1/4 mile pass?

There are correction formulas for factors such as temperature, wind, and humidity.

lol you guys with your corrected numbers...what you run is what you run, thats like getting a dyno number then having them change it to the perfect DA and stuff...you will never see that perfect DA...whats on paper is what you ran and what you get....i always laugh when i see someone talk about "corrected" numbers

oh and you cant allow corrected numbers for a sprayed motor either...nitrous makes its own atmosphere...outside weather has no effect on a motor with spray

But those are some pretty good numbers for sure, specially with some heavy rims on the front, was the truck spinning the slicks, or just the one slick

Im sure it was spinning just one a little on that run.

As far as the corrected time goes. It is VERY accurate. Me and wade happened to hit the track one night and it happend to be negative DA I believe and his time was 12.58. That is very close to the corrected time 12.57 from last sunday.

Wade isnt say "I ran I corrected time 12.57". He is saying he ran a 12.89 but if the da was negative or 0 he would have ran a 12.57.

It was mereley for example so he has some sort of an idea what he could run given better conditions. I will have to argue that the wind did make a difference plust you add the other mods he is planning, lighter wheels etc. You never know
