Yeah, that adds up but real time at the track should be quicker across the board for that vehicle. A 6.2 2WD SD with a CAI, cat-back, and tune is good for 14.3-14.6 easily.
thats what i was thinking too, it seemed about right but slow. i think it was a little off cause i had to turn a little bit, but nothing major
its actually AWD tho... and the trany hasnt been touched by Allen. Just the ECM
Aha...the AWD does slow them down a little. Still should easily be in the 14's at the track...
ya, thats what i was think and hoping for. ill do some more runs and see what happens.
so i finally got around to doing some more runs, this time on a runway!
i did five runs with the average being...
60 - 2.42
1/8 - 9.72 @ 75.21
1000 - 12.57
1/4 - 14.96 @ 94.66
all the runs were within a tenth, so it was consistent but slow from what ive been told my truck should run. i finally got around to ordering the new o2 sensors and will be installing them on monday or tuesday. how much of a difference will they make? also will the couple exhaust leaks i have make a big difference?
Looks close to me. The 60' blows compared to mine and you totally school me on 1/4 mile MPH if your "test" is even close.
Mine has a smaller engine, half a CAI, stock exhaust from engine to bumper, etc. and does:
Low 2.30's to high 2.20's 60'
9.40-9.50 8th mile (660 ft) @ about 72 MPH <---got me there MPH-wise
Best of 14.8X (I'm sure right at 15.0 is average) 1/4 mile @ around 87-88 MPH... <---the power of the 6.2 is obvious with the trap speed difference even if your "test" is 3 MPH off.
Don't use those numbers and any conversation though since they didn't come from a track....LOL :ugh2:
thats the main thing that i dont like, especially with the 6 speed trans, it feels like this thing moves getting off the line! but according to this thing it just sits there. hopefully its off!! i guess ill find out for sure in a month
YEah, the iPhone app works pretty good...they are very close to actual times.
No offense, but your 60' times SUCK for being a 6.2L AWD. I am a 5.3L 2WD ECSB and my best 60' time is a 2.1. Sure, Nelsons mail order tune works great, but that specific truck needs a live ECM and TCM tune for it all to sync correctly. That motor is being cut back SO much by the ECM/TCM.
Do yourself a favor and buy HPT. That way you can send and receive files to tune your truck better.
i think the 60' might be off a little, it really pulls hard in first gear!!! im getting a live tune when i come to the meet, so hopefully everything will wake up a good bit!
ya your 60 has to be off. i forget what i pulled 60 wise if it was a 1.7 or 1.8 but i did a 0 to 60 in 3.5 which was bad ass. them iphone dynolicous is sweet. how did you mount yours in the truck? like as far as securing it to something
it not really secured, ive just got it sitting somewhere where it cant move, or at least i dont think its movin. thats probably why its off, just moving a little bit right when i hit it
The wifes 09 went 13.92 at 98 friday night with a 1.93 60'. It was actually hopping during the 60'. This was on 24's. The TCM needs tuning for sure on your truck. Take out at least 85% of the TQ management and HOLY CRAP! HANG ON! I think I hurt the rear driveshaft on her truck because the transfer case seal is leaking pretty bad.:(
Yep, the hopped N/A 6.2 Sierra Denalis I've seen are tearing the driveshaft out.
It's a welded beer can just the same as a 4.8. The only difference is most 4.8's are in RC's now days (thank the Lord) and the Denalis are CC.
