I carry two concealed weapons/guns all the time!
I rarely have to use them.
hahah, beat you to it Ducky!

Not much they can do to harass you if you have a CHL. Unless you're being stupid with it flashing it around or something...
I want to carry a pistol around
I have my CC permit and carry a Glock 27 (small frame 40 cal S&W) I carry most of the time when Im out on my bike, during certain times a year around where I live (Laconia Motorcycle Week specifically, 2nd largest bike week to Sturgis) and its almost always in my CC holster clipped onto the back pouch on the passengers side seat in my truck.
It stays in the truck if Im out at the bars and what not, unless Im not drinking, then its usually tucked in my waist band. I was actually asked to carry for one of my part time jobs (working at an ice arena) because 95% of our business is cash, so its not uncommon to make bank runs with 6-10k in cash each week.
The only time I ever had an issue carrying was during Laconia Bike Week last year. I stopped to tie my shoe, bent over and it could be seen over the top of my belt. There were a couple of U.C. staties behind me who promptly walked up behind me, grabbed either arm and escorted me off the main drag. Wasnt really a hassle, they just wanted to make sure I wasnt someone walking around with a CC who shouldnt be.
I actually got stopped on my bike one day and had it right above my wallet, where I usually carry it. I told the officer as soon as he walked up to me, as not to raise all sorts of trouble when I went for my wallet. He simply said thanks for the heads up and didnt even ask for my permit.
Edit - sorry for the novel!
Forgive me but I think it gives "them" knowledge "they" don't need. "They" can then use said knowledge to come get my stuff.
I have one. Never been in a situation where cops could have given me any grief over it.
Thanks for the replies guys. I pretty much figured nobody would have one lol. Thunder believe me I am defenitely gonna try to not get in a bad situation. Again thanks for the replies guys.
BTW I love this website. Ya'll don't get mad when new people join and ask questions.
I have a S&W 40c and love it btw
ill be getting mine in 4months how much did yall pay? And ill be getting springfeild XD M 45.
$50 bucks every 4 years.
I've got one but it comes with a shiney badge....just FYI for those that live in texas...you can have a concealed handgun in your vehicle now without having a CHL as long as your not invovled in a crime, been convicted of a felony, and you are not a gang member...the law was an expansion of the travelers law which allowed carry if you were traveling over more than two county lines...
I dont have a conceled hand gun license but I still carry a pistol everywhere I go. I was told about the travelers law awhile back and thats when I decided I was going to get a pistol to carry. Figued it wouldn't be a bad idea since I travel all the way to colorado sometimes, and im on locations out in the middle of nowhere. I would like to get a license in the future though just to have.
With the CHL comes a whole lot more accountability to the law.
yes you no longer have to be crossing two county lines...
but yes CHL holders have alot more accountability...
Me and the wife had them. We also always carry. I NEVER leave home without my little buddys. Yes buddys being plural. I have glocks 19-23-27-35
35 is my favorite. I love my little keltec p3at also.
Most officers want you to have a concealed carry. It tells them you are responsible enough to carry. Most officers I know like knowing I carry cause if ever necessary i would help them if ever need arise.
I also have a Federal Firearms License and have sold guns for 11 years.
I know in Az it can actually keep you outta trouble. I know a couple guys that have gotten outta tickets when the cops saw the permit. Also Car Jackings are high in AZ same boys avoided that lil problem thanks to CC. Gilbert cops and County sheriffs are down for anyone with a CC. Thats a hick area for ya.
I dont have one...yet...but my dad has been looking into getting one for like a year now, he is just too lazy to do it. But like Chase said in AZ a lot of the officers are happy to see that you have one. When I used to help my aunt with gun shows she had a woman that worked for her in Sierra Vista, stocking gun shops and what not, and she had a CHL and ALWAYS carried and one night she got pulled over and forgot she had it on and she told the cop and he was like oh....and just let her bounce without saying anything.
I have mine i carry a .45 ruger, and its pretty much on me at all times, unless im in a bar or drinking, ive been asked 3 times by cops if i have a weapon all times answered i have a concealed weapons permit, yes i have a weapon usually they just have you put your hands on the wheel and continue about thier citation, once a cop asked me to get out and i had to tell him i had a weapon, didnt wanna get a beat down for brandishing a weapon:lol:..........................James....haha hah
Do ya'll think that some day when "they" try to take our guns, that this will be a good list of names for them to begin with? Just a thought.
here is my ? on the subject. federal laws states u can not be within a 1000 feet from a school with a loaded gun or it has to be locked away what does everyone do about that.
Unless your law enforcement or have a CC permit. At least thats the way it is in NH, the ONLY place I cant carry is a federal building...
Of course, private buildings, bars, clubs etc. can deny you access if they know your carrying.
Good call. Sounds like something I said before.
As far as buildings...say or believe what you want but store owners that put the signs up in Texas that look official are about as strong as the fake alarm signs outside some homes. They cannot force a carrier, licensed or not, to remove weapons before entry.
My dad let his permit expire twice, and the second time around he had to pay his lawyer $3900 to help him get it back.
In SC I can't carry in.....churches, gov't buildings, banks, polling booths, restaurants with alcohol (even if not drinking), and I must get permission to carry in someone's personal residence.. That's a long list.
I think it's a very good possibility guzzler that the gov't could use these lists of people to start taking guns, but like lamborado said we practice ground checking, once its dead on the ground check to see what it is. lol. I've been talking to some of my cop friends and most of them are just saying once you give them your DL give them the CWP. Cause you can believe they are carrying even when not on duty.
the lawyer has been dealing with my family for quite awhile now and realized that my pops makes good money so he just charges by the hour (i think $250+) for every damn thing (phone calls, research, signing papers, etc.), so after my dad got the bill for this permit he decided to drop him and start looking for a more reasonable lawyer
There is no reason your dad should have to get a lawyer to get his CC permit renewed though, even though it may have expired. I think thats what was meant by there has to be more.
Honestly, I know there are some things my dad is hiding from my family but nothing that i think would have to do with the CWP, they're just a PITA to have around this area
