yes they'll bolt up, it will also raise the compression..
they will also not flow nearly as well. If you put them on have them ported. or just grab some 243 heads, they flow the same and are 64.5cc instead of 73 like the 317s

so well wil some 862's milled 30 ,ported ,3 angle valve job and the 317 valves work on an lq9 good

Just check wit the guy that did the heads there 862 ,rock port , 3angle valve job and milled 5 but the heads git warped 1ns due to over heat and got milled 5 more which is 10 is that good or should my friend change the heads he went 11.4@ 122mph spinng mods are lq9 ms3 cam stall full bolt on wat do u thing should he change the heads

i would get with wcch aka richard and let him calculate what your cr would be.
LQ4/LQ9 are the same block and the LQ4 block will be cheaper to buy because they won't be tearing apart a HP engine to get a block. You could just go for a LSX block and then you can put whatever size pistons you want in it after boring it to fit, up to 4.125 I think. Double check that but I know 4.06 is good. The LQ4/9 block is available in first quality ready to use bare block from SDPARTS.COMQuote:
