whats a good quality fuel pump that will drop right in and give him thousands of trouble free miles, something quiet too?
pump only needs to support near stock hp, I doubt this engine will ever be modified, despite my best efforts. :D

X2 on the Walbro. Thats all I've run in my conversions and have never had a pump failure, other than not enough fuel to feed a 408+nitrous supplement at the same time. :thumb:
whats the deal with the no warranty?
Buy an AC Delco and you only get a warranty if its installed in a vehicle listed as an OEM install. Most HP parts have no warranty other than warranty from defects in materials and workmanship.
Its a fuel pump, either is on or its not. :)
I think hes gonna get a walbro from summit, they are usually pretty good about things so if something should go wrong, there is some hope. Seems other sellers were animate about NO WARRANTY, which could easily translate to tough chit.
Except if a dealer were to make a warranty claim and the part number doesn't match the VIN, the claim gets rejected. The ACD and OEM pumps are kinda crappy but not nearly as bad as the cheapo parts store replacements.

You know, rather than a switching device you can put a Y connecter and two check valves between the Y and the pumps to stop backflow rather than using the factory switch valve. Then you can use a dual position switch to go from left tank to right. You could also turn both pumps on during WOT racing so that you never run out of fuel.
