i'd say whatever one you can find at a good reasonable price to restore or start a good project on would be great!!! good luck on whichever you decide to do ..
Id like to see the 55 stepside. My dads got that '51 and when I get old enough its going to be mine and I would love to see any LSX platform in something like that. Although I dont know if I would ever do it to the '51 it would be cool to see
+1 on the '55!:thumb:
another one for the 55
S10
s-10s are good for racing ,theyre light .1 of our ls motors ,and youd fly.plus you can get em a dime a dozen on racing junk.com craigslist ,etc.already setup for v8.gives ya more money for mods,ya know.just my 2 cents.i had a 62 nova on theyre for a month allsetup for racing and i got literally 5 v8 s10 swap offers.although just today i swapped it for a 2wd 2500 hd,6.0.any way id say s10 for speed, and any of the others as long as they have an ls motor.like i said you can mod the heck out of the s10 cheap, wich means more mods.
x2 s10......
Sdime
I vote for the 67-72. Kinda like Brian's red truck. That thing is sweet.
49-54 in the in dropped in the weeds. simple paint, steel wheels with hub caps. thats my two cents
I like them 67's stepsides lowered and with a phantom grille. Some nice wheels and a LS motor would be cool.
I say get what ever you can get running and finished ASAP before the baby gets here:ma:
55 definately dads buddy has a few of them.
Dammit im on jasons computer(this is Sprayed99)
Yellow is "59 GMC" From 2006 Heatwave website i found.

Thanks for the input guys!!!!
All Apaches were Fleetsides, no? In fact, that's where the term "Fleetside" came from....I thought.
