Are the plugs the same for the 97 5.7 and the 02 5.3? I just bought brand new AC delco plugs for my old motor and would like to reuse them if possible.

I really think NOT.
I can check in the AM if no one smarter than me already answers.
What are they, $1.59 each? Why not replace them with new?
Unless they are iridium I would replace them.
they have less than 2000 miles on them.... but I will probley replace them along with every other part on the motor.:ugh2:
I know it seems crappy, but Any time you do work like that, you should throw in fresh plugs. And do it very carefully. If you put a bad plug in, or you accidentally put a tiny crack in one, You will be chasing problems trieng to figure out whats wrong.
So true, more misses in an engine can be attributed to a cracked porcelain than anything else. Be careful installing your new plugs.
yeah been there done that :tvhaha:
I dont know everyone says get the ngk an gap them to 28. I wanna try some true ac delcos though.
The ACD iridium 41-985's are pretty good (gap at 0.040) but they're also high....$8.00 each list.
I run the AC Delco 41-985's and have had no issues. Well worth the money!
I agree. I bought mine off eBay from a dude in Canada. AFTER shipping charges they were only $4.00 each...much less than 10% over dealer cost.
I'll look and see if the seller has more...
Looks like they've gone up a bit.
Can't remember off hand if this is the same seller but he's in Canada like my guy was and it's a good deal.
I'm too  to make a link so check out item number 250283795706. Only $5.38 each shipped.
