What my plans are is to get a Diesel truck front bumper with the intake air holes in the bumper and have my air intake run to it.
What I would do is run a 90 degree fitting from TB down and then another 90 to where the air filter will sit which should be inline with one of the holes in the bumper.
Now the ? is where can I get elbows and tubing to build a custom setup and not spend alot of $$$ doing it?
I bought mine on Ebay. Theres a guy in Dallas with great prices on aluminum elbows. BTW, that's exactly how mine is setup minus the diesel bumper.
Do you know his user name by chance? And what size am I looking at on the TB?

I'll have to measure to verify but I am thinking I have a 4" to 3.5" silicone elbow on the TB then two 90 degree elbows to clear the crankshaft pulley and then turn towards the front of the truck under the core support. You may need more connectors if you're still using a MAF sensor, mine is gone thanks to a speed density tune.

Im going down to lowes or home depot and using pvc pipe. im gunna fab it up and use silicone elbows and connectors. then put it the pipe in the lathe and shave the inside down an then paint it, clear coat it an slap it in :) ill take pics of everything. I find the metal just to HOT.

I have no idea what kind i am getting yet.. Thats for a later time and date :) But if I do get to thick its an easy fix with the lathe machine.

BTW, listen to Greg!! The greatest risk comes from vinyl chloride, a primary component of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and an odorless gas which could be released with very high heat. Vinyl Chloride is a toxic carcinogen, which can cause a deadly primary liver cancer. :(
Isnt that stuff a little on the flammable side also? I think the Formosa explosions up north was caused by that stuff a few years back. Granted it wouldnt be in a near the concentrations as what they were dealing with making PVC, but just a thought.Quote:
