I used to have one, if that counts. I had a 98 t-top, 6 spd. I had all the suspension goodies on it. I got hooked after i installed the eibach springs and bilstiens. After that, i was into handling more than power, i guess it had just enuff at the time.
She didn't like it becuase i went thru 5 clutches when i had it, on the 5th one it was outta here. I elected to buy a centerforce when they first came out, bastard should have kept that damn setup in the prototype shop because it fcking sucked, i'm still pissed about it, hahah. It ruined my trans after the 2nd one. At the track, i litterally blew one up, when i pulled the trans, coffee grounds came falling out, that's how bad it was. It also put four quarter size holes in my bellhousing.
anyway, i'll get an auto this time.
ouch...yeah i would go bullitproof auto if were you too.Quote:

I really want another one. Once i get some control over my bills i'm going to get another one, the wife says no, but i'm going to.

geez. all that from a stock LS1?
yeah, I've heard numerous complaints about centerforce clutches--thats pretty crazy that your clutch just grenaded like that though--that's why I went with SPEC. it holds like mad. have done many 4-5k clutch dumps with 320+rwhp on a 4000lb vehicle and it has held up. sounds like you had a sweet car there. i would have went for a manual but dont want to deal with the maintenance associated with manuals.Quote:

Ive got a 68 Camaro. thats gotta count right. Right now its sitting with a fresh paint job with waiting for the Accel EFI system to be put on the 383 that ive got, then drop the motor in along with the T-56 that i got from a 98 F-body. After that i just need an interior and it will be done. :burnout:
Also my mom has a black 02 SS M6 and my dad has an original 69 Z/28 hugger orange with black houndstooth interior :burnout:
When i get everything straightened out and a little more extra money, i'll get me a another fbody

:thumb: I like it!!
I have a A4 1994 Z-28, black, 17" Torq-Thrust II's, Hooker long tubes, flame throwers, K&N intake, some other little things, runs mid 13s, best was a 13.401@102. Oh yeah and it pulled a 1.8 short time on street tires once, that was pretty fun. Their awesome cars, just not practical for a 1300 mile drive which is what I am building the truck from hell for.
ya i agree, nice cars for city driving, but i've driven mine quite a bit in the past and ....
you'll love the truck i'm sure,
keep us updated on the project,
later,
allen

Strange...I owned one identical to that. I had a tan interior and no ASR. That one was a ringer I had laid waste to many a rides such as...Quote:

'01 M5 BMW
'95 C4
90-93 built 5.0
Early 90's Porsche 928S4
Sold it for a '01 C5, now THAT is a badass ride. Sadly that is gone now too. BUT I am getting promoted at work and we all know what that means...more disposable money. Maybe a heads/cam C5, sell the WRX, and get something silly.
It is too bad Gm stopped production on the F Bodys. But looks like the GTO will replace the F body this year. I personally thimk the GTO is much better, Rear Independent suspension, a cool gauge cluster, slik lines, oh and that copper color they offer. Sweet
Ya too bad, I was actually hoping there would be a 5th gen camaro by the time I was ready to get one. Looks like I'll have to wait until about 2007, maybe.
I really like the GTO, I haven't seen on in person, but as soon as they arrive I'll go down to the dealership and inspect one.
I just read an article that SLP and GM are fighting over the name Judge. SLP things the car should be what it was meant to be, and GM thinks the car will have a short life if they modd it too much. I hope SLP wins, GM is sucking lately, and doesn't have a clue.
I bet they would sell tons of them if they put modded engines in them like SLP will. oh well.
Here's the whole article.
So , who here like them? I think the interior is badass, and I love how it's 2+2 seating.
The perfect family car, well after a stall, built tranny, cam and headers, lol
later,
allen
I just think the whole situation is lame. Rebadging a holden? They are getting off cheap. The tooling is paid for and further they are being built in Austrailaisa. I will probably pick up a used 4th gen before I waste over 35k on that. Not to mention the Ford Cobra SVTs now can be had for the same or less.
My local dismanteler can't wait to get their hands on one!!!!!!!!!&# 33;!!
Let us know when he does. I am sure one of us here can use the drivetrain
I have a 95 Firebird...V6 5 speed though, wish it was a T/A or a formula
I wouldn't mind having one of those for a daily driver,
btw, nice pic of your truck in your sig, real nice
allen
I have an '02 Formula, Sunset Orange Metallic, 6 speed, slp sfc's, bmr stb, lid.
13.47 @ 106 with 2.15 60ft. ( room for improvement) slp Ram Air HO hood.
Pic is with my other toy.
My new play toy
Just got this girl today.LS1 M6 WS6.
Way to go! Nice to see another f-body here.
Damn Paul nice! F-bods are damn fast stock...and hard-core w/ a few mods.
Something to play with. Still have the truck. Got to play with her on the test drive. My parents were nice enought to go with me to get her <300 miles from home. They follow me at <5 miles over speed limit the way back. I got what I wanted.
I looked around and found a few pics of the Z28 I used to (and should have kept). I will scan them up today and post them. :smile:Quote:
