im thinking about getting one but im confused on which one i need... i have a 4.3 and i am putting in my 3.73s and auburn in 2 weeks.
Hey man what cam are you gonna go with if you get a V8?
If you arent gonna get a V8 it would be a decent stall..I had it in my V6 and it launched great off the line.
If you get a cam in the V8 you will need a way bigger stall
dang man its been awhile! how ya doing?... anyways..
its gonna be atleast another year before i can get a v8 since i got arrested and all my moneys going to probation and court fees... but ya. im still fuzzy on cam specs...
Ive been good
Yea if you go V8 dont get the TB Stall if your going cam...Trust me...a guy on here with a 5.3 with a 220/222 cam has the TB Stall and hates it....
well im thinking something transmission as my next mod after i install my 3.73s and lsd.... transgo hd2?
Screw that...go big and do the zippy race shift kit...I had it in my blue truck and it was the best!!!

that one?
Yes sir!!
Best shift kit ever...It would own in that truck...and could support a 6.0 if you got one
how much do you think installation for that would be and would i need a tune after that?
Are you talking about the shift kit or the TC? The I-6 (regular) Trailblazer TC is rated at about 2400-2500 rpms. The TBSS TC is rated at 2100 to 2200 rpms.
Install prices can vary between shops. If you have the correct tools and know-how, you and a friend can install a TC in a day...
nevermind
so for a v6 which trailblazer verter' would best suit its charcteristics?
The I-6's TC would best suit you. The I-6's TC is a little more loose and will be able to offer you more than the tighter stall in the TBSS. Your V6 might not be able to get anything out of a TBSS stall...cause think about it--if a torquey LS2 can only muster 2200 rpms out of it, then your V6 could only get like 1800-1900 (or less) out of it...
Kurt's mom is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more loose than any woman known to walk this Earth.
A tune wouldnt really be needed for the TB Stall...Allen at NP said you cant really tune the TB Stall..
For the shift kit...Yes
A guy here installed my shift kit and stall in about a 3 day period by himself for 300 bucks cash..He works at a chev. dealer too and installs everything
so did you have yours tuned right after the shift kit aggie? think i will go with the i-6 stall.
Yea I had the tune after the stall and shift kit..
If you go v8 with a "phat" cam though your not going to like that stall man...Im telling you haha...It will suit your needs for a while though
so a TBSS converter would bolt up to a 4.3? I've been considering this swap
Dude I HAD the TB Stall in my 4.3 silverado last year and it stalled badass...It does fit I even did the swap
haha wow.
i just got my hands on a stock TBSS converter for free from a friend 100% workin good, should i put this in???? compared to my stock Silverado 1500?
You will be able to stall it and flash it slightly higher than a stock stall... Remember--a LS2 can only stall a TBSS TC to about 2100 RPMS. A modded 5.3L can push it that high, but it can get close...
