no the air fuel ratio was a lil rich
I've never seen that before but ii've seen a cat get that hot from being pluged

Yeah, I would go with thin tubing... What headers do you have?
titanium header on my yfz450 glows red all the time...the people at the atv shop said it was normal...dont know bout it happening on a truck though

Having red hot headers is ok, i guess, but just don't let the plug wires--or any other wires for that matter--touch the headers...
You told me a/f ratio was 12.2 : 1, which is plenty safe. Now if the sensor the shop was using is old or inaccurate, it could be a lean condition.
dange that really doesnt sound good....anyone know if it would benefit him to wrap his headers?
Any wrapping of headers is a good idea, its just the fact of doing it that nobody likes to do... If he was turboed, then I would HIGHLY suggest to wrap them...
