I like the idea. I'd paint it with that stuff the guys from "trucks tv" painted their old skool truck with. Its flat but not primer and holds up good.
Yeah that will look great, Its my favorite color. Flat is where its at.
I like mine with no shine ahah
I wish mine was flat black... so you dont see every little blimish and pos.
I like that look like a stealth fighter!!
it would stand out from everyone else for sure...hell try and see how it turns out
i like the flat paint, it looks tough but nice like a steel velvet. ok now it doesnt sound so tough lol.
black on black is sweet man! i say black! Nothing like a glossy black when its all clean and shining!

Do yours first so I can see what it looks like?
hahahahh right go ahead spend the money if it looks like ass i wont do it  good one
whatch the tv show rob & big on mtv2. he has a flat black tahoe that looks sweet. good idea
yea i love rob and big so when i seen the new tahoe i was like damn it now peeps are gonna think i stole it from them oh well who gives a ****
hahahah
I'll have to vote no on the flat black paint.
it would be different and i think it would be pimp....look at Rob and Bigs flat black tahoe...that fvcker is badass
FWIW, I like a high shine. Can't keep it up here for long, but I work at it. But once again, what's important is what you like.
Do it! But you will have to get new rims, or get them coated, and pull all the chrome too to complete the look.
Then flame the front!
flat black looks good on older trucks not newer ones
but it is a unique thing gl with it
Its the ratrod look
The only thing about flat black is that you can't sand and buff it. And when any paint gets sprayed, there will be some dirt that gets into the paint and they might even get a run depending if they can spray worth a ****. If you spayed a regular gloss all the dirt and runs get sanded and buffed out. But since you spray it flat its gotta stay. Thats something to think about.
The way I would spray it so that it would stand up to the wheather is spray the black base and then put a flattening agent in the clear coat and it will go on shinny but dry flat. That way it will still last for YEARS in the wheather!
GO FOR IT! I LIKE THE IDEA!
thats how its done it costs just the same as a regular paint job because all the same materials are used, you can get it done for about half if you just do black primer instead of base with the flattner. I think ill do the primer if it turns out nice ill keep it but if it looks ****ty they can just go ahead and paint it.
Black primer will fade to grey in the sun.
the car has to be primered so just do it in black if you like that style you can have them paint it flat black or if you dont like it paint it gloss, the black primer is only temporary, both shops i went to said the primer would last for quite a while but eventually would start fading. and if it fades to an off grey it would still look sick primered trucks just look mean to me.
almost all base that is sprayed has flattening agent in it. To creat the flat effect the flattent has the be in the clear as well so that it does dry glossy. I would not recomment black primmer like you said up there. It wont stand up to the invroments. Now I do have a single stage flat black that would work and be alot cheaper, but im not a fan of single stage paints.
you guys arent pickin up what im puttin down apparently :ugh2: let me break it down retard style. instead of grey primer do black primer if it looks good paint the vehicle flat black, if it doesnt look good paint it gloss black, use the primer just to get an idea of what it will look like. dont give a crap how long its gonna stand up to the environment its just to look at and decide max time out in the elements an hour.
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Something like this is what I was thinking. I know these aren't cars, but same idea applies:
