Daytona 500 What You Doing

Just thought I would start a thread to see what everyone is doing for the race tomorrow. First off I would like to say that nascar has been changing the last couple of years. I have to be honest I have been loosing interest. But none the less every year for the last 5 years I have had a get together for friends who would like to come by and watch the race. Every year the day before the race I go to get the food and snacks. The meal is whatever size lobster you put down a deposit for. I pretty much pick up the beer, popsodacoke(depending on what you call it) and the snacks. The one thing that gets me hyped for this race is I have an excuse to go get lobsters. The wify just shakes her head every time I mention it. So what you doing? Vince

Same here! Sounds like a fun party. I'll watch it some, but as you said I have been loosing interest in NASCAR over the past few years.

and the same here as well...im at work so i brought 2 packs of gizzards to fry up and some picante sauce to dip em in:tacos:mmmmmmmmmmmm...GOOD SCHITT!!!!!and cheer for the chevys as well. GO DALE JR :beerchug::burnrub:

I have also been loosing interest in NASCAR. Too many rules now, not like the good old days. Also my extreme hate for imports, being that toyota is now in NASCAR. Alway cheering for the Chevrolet's.

we go to several races a year butthe sportis turning for the worst all the new rules new car with shopping kart handle on the back and dam toyota my family hard core dale sr jr fans Go Dale give them toy hell

Lambchop....you have got to get out from under that rock every now and then...lol.At least the dodges are giving the import guys trouble as well as the other guys.I still cant get used to toyotas in nascar.....Its like sushi and BBQ,they just dont mix!

i knew about toyota coming to nascar my father in law was losing his mind ive just never been a big fan of it watching cars go in circles for 500 miles just doesnt seem like a good time maybe seeing it in person but on tv they dont look like theyre goin 200mph. except when they wreck.

I know what you mean....looks like with the new setups ,there will be less wrecks now.I think there was only 3 or 4 caution flags and only 2 wrecks:yawn:

yea i mean the wrecks are spectacular when they dont get hurt which usually they come out fine but sometimes it goes wrong, and i have been hearing alot about the rules changing they're gonna have to change something if they wanna keep its millions of fans watching.

Yeah, not a HUGE fan either, but I know alot about all of it and do my reading on it...
I like Tony Stewart--and he was about to win--but thank God he didn't--cause that freak now drives a Toyota. I can't get over the fact that a freakin CAMRY is in NASCAR--or a POS Ford Fusion for that matter. But sheesh, I want the Chevy guys to kill all, but didn't Dodge have 6 of the top 8?

Dodge is the only one out there that could take a "stock"car and kill everybody out there...I wanna see a camry outrun a srt8charger....yeah like thats gonna happen!

i was there wasnt to bad of a race.....got better toward the end...daytona was a rockin party that weekend tho..lots of nice cars trucks n bikes
