I havent heard anything good about em....And the truck has to be tuned for it..not quite plug and play
ya i understand the whole tune thing i was ordering my tune today for my new e fans and i was gunna order the maf sensor at the same time
It may be helpful with your throttle body...even better if you had a cam
well maybe i should go ahead and order it cause the cam was ordered last night
Oh Yeah! which cam are you getting
the comp 224,would it be a good idea to go ahead and order springs today anything else?
Yes ...pushrods and a crank pulley bolt
which pushrods? and a crank pulley bolt?
i think the MAF sensor is a good upgrade if you do that speed density tune, I THINK.
Crank pulley bolt is a one time..strecthed torque bolt and comp hardened 7.4 pushrods are what i used.Ive heard of guys reusing the bolt but I wouldnt
dad had one on his truck, he didnt feel a difference. it was a waste of money h had to take it off to get a good tune
alright thanks to the both of you!!! im just going to stick with what i have and put the cam and stall on and call nelson monday
A stall is a great mod...just not too big maybe 3000
As well..you wouldnt want a 4000 stall in a daily driver....unless you own stock in a oil company
FWIW, if you're planning on a speed density tune don't even think about a MAF sensor, they're worthless after the tune since it no longer uses the MAF for feedback to the PCM for the tune to work properly.
Yeah, a MAF on your truck is a COMPLETE waste of money. The stall isn't--it will be money WELL spent considering what size oif cam you will be running.... Also, get some PRC or Comp 921 springs. 7.4 hardened pushrods too. If you do the Comp 921 springs, you get new valve seals and retainers as well. It's a good kit.
