how well will those high tc's work with my low gears, and stock internals?
3200 would be fine with 3.42's. The turbo will start building good boost around 2400 RPMs, so that will make up the difference when the TC is stalling. You can go as high as 2600, but it will be your daily, so a 3000-3200 is about as far as I would go...
what about a trailblazer stall
i think youll want more than 2200 stall speed, id go with the TT3000 or TT3200.

i got and sts kit and i have a PI 3000-3200 triple disc stall on mine, It is fine normal driving, the only thing you really notice is it locking up when you get to about 40-45mph, but i can leave the line with about 5# of boost in my high setting at 3000 rpms...
btw i dont know a whole lot about stalls. I just threw a number out.

Like you said... I would try and 2800 stall... if you find something used ... its going to stall a little bit more since you have 3.42 gears... I had a 3200 with my front mount.. it was decent down low.. but I think i was missing out Racing from a Dig.. in 3rd gear it would flash over 4000!! this is with 3.73 gears.... possibly a 3000 10.5" stall... it will pull the motor down a little once it gets moving... KC
so something smaller like a 2800 wont hurt me too bad from a dig.. but a 2800 would flash pretty good when shifting at higher rpms?
I think 30-40mph with the 2800 its not going to hurt at all from a Dig because the motor will respond a bit quicker and downshift faster and be low enough in the power band to pull hard for 5-8sec then upshift again ... I think on the street from a dig 15-20 the race is over .... And in the taller Gears your stall is going to flash more... 2800 taking off will be closer to 3200-3400 from a Roll ... My 3200 would footbrake 2500 .. it wouldnt brake boost much of anything.. but my problem was from a Dig the truck would flash 4000+ downshift and still be at 4000+ under WOT ... I would have liked to try and Trail blazer converter myself... so dont be shy about getting on to try .. worse case you lose 50.00 selling it used.. better then 600 for a new one.. and doing good to sell it for 350.00
when your talking about a dig from 15-20 and the race being over, you mean for me or someone that I may be racing?
For Bolth of you I hope !!... 40mph and going WOT For 20sec.. I am thinking your well over double the speed limits ??? I dont care for that Chicken Game on the street over 120+mph .. and just see who gives up first... Last time I did that I lifted and the trans am i was racing went threw a qroup of slow moving cars that were getting out of Church !!
