I let it suck it up with the vac pressure until it stalled, then poured the rest in.
It would stumble & buck at first, so give it some gas to start. Should work out just fine.
Sounds like you tried to hydraulic lock the cylinder by putting too much liquid in at once. You can bend a rod like that.
I bet i did bend a rod. Might check again later
Motors done
reading this thread makes me nervous as hell to seafoam my truck.
Pull the plugs and crank it for about 30 seconds. You may just have a heavy concentration of liquid in the back two cylinders.
No.7 Plug tip bent to ****. Won,t even turn over now. Anybody know a good engine guy
You're in luck living where you do. There are tons of good LS1 technicians around the Houston area. You might be able to get one of the local guys in your area to come see what you did before you send it off for repairs.
When you say bent the plug, what did it do exactly? I wonder if a chunk of carbon fell of the valve and wedged between the piston and head.
Did you pull all the plugs and it still won't turn over?
Pulled em all. The entire tip and electrode are bent and twisted
Sounds like something like a large chunk of carbon fell off into the cylinder. Engine won't turn over by hand, forward or reverse?
WTF were you doing anyways? Why did you put sea foam in the combustion chamber? I thought that you just put it in the oil to flush before you change the oil. :nutz: hope its not a bent rod or damaged piston or valve. At least we all learned a valuable lesson. non combustables dont compress, or... combust. sorry about your luck.
:bash:
just praying now
Normal practice is to put about 1/3 of a can of seafoam into the engine very slowly while the engine is running. Putting it in somewhere near the throttle body is highly suggested and drizzling it in slowly is the safest way. After it is in then you turn the truck off for an hour or so to let it soak and then start it up and burn the residue out. Many people have done it with great success. The remaining 2/3 of a can will go into the fuel tank. Some like to pour a can into the crankcase and run at idle speed until up to temp and then drain the oil, kind of like an enima for the crankcase to flush out the nasty deposits.
That just shows you that I dont pay attention to bs like that, dont get me wrong im not ragging on you at all. It just didnt make sense to do that, to me. im sorry but it said to hook the can to the booster vacuum and suck it out like a Hi-c juice box??? Wow, i would have never guessed. But I hope that nothing serious is wrong with your motor dude. I feel for you. good luck.
I'll prbably be looking for some perf. parts soon
SOunds like a good excuse to do a 6.0L.
alot to consider:tantrum:
id love to do a 6.0l and if my motor siezed that would be a good enough excuse to convince my wife. i aggree
So is it okay or not?
Try to get the pics of the plug up. cant turn by hand any direction
It did smoke like all h***.:), just like everyone said it would
That doesn't sound very promising.
I remember that feeling seeing the plug destroyed...
When we use Sea Foam, we just pull a small vacume line and put it in the can. It will slowly draw it in. It will run a little rough and smoke, and then clear up. Works pretty well to clear up carbon.
