Gear Question

Ok Guys got the overboosting problem solve and now it seems that the truck dosen't like the 4:10's, when Im going at 60mph and floor it the rpms go to 6k real fast and it dosen't feal or sound as if the turbo spools at all.

What do you guys think I should do, I was thinking of going back with the 3:42's it worked when I had the 28" tall slicks but now I have 31'' tall, do you think this will work?

You should have enough torque to run pretty much any gear. Since you already have the gears I'd give them a try.

could that be a problem with the shiffting? maybe it does that cause it dosen't shift?

From a 30 roll it pulls hard but it dosen't want to shift and I have to let go, so it should get fix with a retune do you think?

Not shifting is a tune issue.

sounds like you just need to make a trip to see allen and get that thing fine tuned jj...

Thats what I'll do this friday and for the get together at SAR, hopefully is nothing major.

I think you don't have enough resistance for the turbo to spool up with 4.10 gears. The shifting is a tune issue. The gears may hurt your times, b/c your truck is so light. I could be wrong, but most turbo trucks like a little smaller gear to give the turbo a little resistance. With 31 inch slicks, a 3.73 is as low as I would go with a turbo, now n/a trucks with a 31 inch tire, I would go with a 4.56.
I could be wrong, but that is my two cents.

I'll try and make it to the track Friday to watch you run, since Allen will have the truck torn down.

I just order the 3:42's for the truck, hopefully I'll get them in before friday, payed 2nd day air :D

He had 3.42's before. He has a 14 bolt now.
