10-12rw on the pulley. Tune depends how far out of whack you are currently.
Since you're a '99, swap in some '00+ injectors while you're in there and get an '01+ PCM.
The really weak sauce issue with the '99s aside from the PCM, is the lame cam. Even a factory LQ9 cam is a huge upgrade. An '01 LS6 cam would be so-so too.

And if you do a 93 octane Nelson tune...um...30-35 at the motor or about 22-25 at the wheels.
For a combined total of 50 hp at the motor and about 40 at the wheels. Guys--am I close???? Feel free to offer input...
whats the difference between an '01 pcm and a '99 pcm?
'99s are prone to false knock retard.
wow i didnt know you can actually achieve 10 hp from a pulley change!!
i thought it was actually a smaller amount.. You know how companys false advertise the hp ratings and stuff.. thats cool to know!

Hey be nice. What's with the name calling?
they are prone to false knock IF the tuner is uncapable of dealing with it

Incorrect.
also ur connections are different for the 99 and 01+ so ur kind of stuck unless u switch harnesses. im glad i have an 01 motor!
how much does the harnesses cost? is it easy to swap out?
The harness is different between the 99-2000 and 2001-2002? That's a first that I've heard that. What is different? I know the PCM has a faster processor in the newer version but the connections to the PCM are the same.

Yup, news to me...
Last I recall just the alt had a different way to keep the light off.
I have also heard the newer ones have faster processers...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(RedHeartbeat @ Jun 21 2007, 12:25 PM) </div>and there are a few more tables that you can adjust with HPT on the '01 pcms. This should be a plug and play swap.Quote:

well allen should know, for sure shouldnt he, i would like to get this cleared up, because if there is a difference, i want to get a 01 pcm in my 00.
me too...i dont wanna go buying the wrong one and stuff...
I say 45 to 50 hp at the crank, and I also swapped out my pcm to an 02. Its just plug and play and paid $50 bucks at a junkyard fot it
so i dont have to buy any harnesses...cool...now i just have to go to a junkyard and find an extra pcm...
How is that incorrect? what is teh differnece then?
also..what other tables are available?? Are they useful for power gains?
i have a 2000 silverado and switchd to a 2001 pcm the conectors are the same i just had to do a security learn!
do you have the stock alarm or an aftermarket one?
i have a stock system in my truck but the learn is for you truck being able to start with the new computers vin number....you do the secutity learn to fake you truck out so that it will start otherwise it only fires once and thats it!
what does it take to perform this secrity learn and is that all it takes to get up and running with this pcm swap?
