Come on Moze, you know there is no place better. Where do you live? It sure isn't NY!
I live here because my wife and all her family is here. We both want to move to Idaho, but will probably stay here to help care for her family....
NY has some pretty great mountains and forested areas. Idaho rocks though. It's like 75% national forest.
That's cool if you like that kind of stuff. You'll be needing the 4x4 drivetrain up there. It's too cold too long for my liking. I prefer my women scantilly clad instead of covered all the time.
Yeah I get off on cold weather, snow, mountains, and hiking in all of that.
And scantily clad women are fine, but warming them up because they're cold is even better. :thumb:

Sure do. Give me 0° weather and a mountain and a backpack and I'll get off on it.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(DamnYankee @ May 25 2007, 02:57 PM) </div>That's cool...(mental note: Don't EVER go backpacking with Moze). I am the exact opposite---I have to be in weather that is above 70 degrees...I like it the best when it is August and 105 degrees. But even at that, I don't get that excited...I save that for my female friends... :smile:Quote:

Whew, we're all safe around Moze in Texas in August.
har har har - you buncha monkeys.
And you couldn't keep up with me anyway arkitekt. You'd still be lacing your booties and I'd be waving from the summit.
Anyway, my point is hiking is my thing. We're going to Yosemite in the fall. I'm thinking of tackling Half Dome...
