Whats the best headers besides pacesetters? I'm kicking around the idea of geting new headers
bang for buck, no other header will touch pacesetteers...
asm's are very nice and i think dynomax makes a very nice kit.
just leave the poor thing alone.... your truck will be going through an identity crisis if you keep changing thins on it!! ...... im sure there are more thinsg around your house you could spend $ on...
or you could get Borla LOL
I'm first of all not claiming these are the best. But I love mine and have no complaints. You can get them off AutoAnything.com for $470 coated and shipped. You won't beat the quality either. If you want to take a look at mine sometime let me know.

These ones seem like a good deal for stainless.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(brent1976 @ Mar 1 2007, 05:00 PM) </div>those do look nice! has anybody heard of them or know anything about them?Quote:
those thorley tri-y's look pretty good and the try-y will give you some real good top end gains... or at least they should...
OBX is really popular with the sport import crowd. The headers look like quality pieces to me. I'd be willing to try them if they'd fit on my personal vehicle. The price is pretty good, also. I'd love to see a heads up comparison between all the headers available, Hooker, AZSM, Thorleys, Dynatechs...any more?
just to give you an idea and i know that its a race motor and everything but the last time i had the motor on the dyno we tried like 6 different sets of headers.. from hooker, headman, custom made step down tube and tri-y's and they were all within like 1-3 hp of each other... as long as the diameter of the primaries are relatively close then the difference will be hard to see on paper... our torque numbers only really changes with the step headers...
damn those OBX headers dont like bad at all red... they are t304 stainless as well would be worht a try... oh wait i dont have anything to put them on yet...lol :(
and they won't work on an OBS/LSx conversion :whack: You need these...http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...-2006002-1.jpg
Now if you could just someone to make a set for you! Don't ask.
hell i will just come steal yours..lol i haqve a buddy that can make headers i may just have to get the truck to his house and use his saw and tig machine to weld up a set... what size primaries are those? is that a 3" collector flange?
They started out as big block Hooker headers for my 93 C1500 and then came the new header flanges and a meeting with a sawzall. Shortly after I started re-arranging and welding pipes until I got them to fit nice. The passenger side is a real bitch because there isn't much room for the pipes back by the transmission bellhousing! Yeah, 3" collector. I have 3" pipes all the way through the muffler, no reducers at all. The primary pipes are 1-3/4", should have probably got the 1-7/8" pipes but these fit snug enough already.
sweet looking tubes for sure...

Actually the Tri-Y design is developed to help more with torque. Not syaing it hurts top end, but the torque is the big plus. :thumb:

Those collectors are awesome. That's the problem with some of the headers out there is the collector reduces down too quickly and crams all the exhaust together which doesn't do much for smooth flow...
Those are nice Greg...where from? EDIT: just read your post - duh.

tri-y's explained...
I know I'm pretty happy with my OBX headers on my 6.0l swap. They're pretty tight on the passenger side frame rail though.
