Long tube Swap headers for 88-98 trucks
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who here would buy a set of 1.75" diameter Hooker Competition long tube headers for their LS1/Gen3 truck if they were available? I have been in contact with Hooker to build us headers and they don't think there is enough demand for them. Nobody makes a set of long tubes for our trucks at this time and I know there are a lot of us out there with the Gen3/Gen4 engines. Post up if you would buy them if they were available and maybe we can get the word out. I am sure that the main issue will be engine placement. Hooker already sells an engine swap mount kit for our trucks and I am sure the headers would be designed with their mount controlling the engine placement front to rear.
Also, go to their tech support area at www.holley.com and send a direct request for a set if you'd like to speed them up in development.

I'm hearing you - and heeding the call:
"Thank you. Your Request is #32871
Technical Service Requests are answered in the order in which they were received. Please allow up to 48 hours for a response, though usually they are answered much more quickly." -
"Why won't any header manufacturers make LS1 longtube headers for Chevy P/U where we've converted these trucks into well-tuned street performance trucks."

Maybe a better question is what headers have people tried that DON'T fit? I was thinking of trying Pacesetter LS1 F-body headers. On my end, if they don't fit my truck, they will fit my LS1-Impala project.
Can we do a poll? If desired, I can start another thread so I don't wal all over this one....
