Was wondering where to get a TB Ported And Polished, how much HP can you gain from this over buying an aftermarket 80MM TB?

THNX Man
I wonder why that "bump" was engineered into the throttle body to begin with and I wonder how for down you can grind it before you grind through it? I wonder if grinding it is a good idea? ...... or not!Quote:

not sure but i would recomend using one of those big tweezer lookin thingys that you pinch down to see how thick the material is. not sure what the technical name for them is but do you know what im talking about?
i already have a shaners ported throttle body but im thinking about buying a spare and giving it a shot just for the hell of it.
What is Shaners? does anyone know how much hp increase this adds, is it even worth messin with
shaners throttle body is a stock throttle body that is boared out, ported, polished and has the bump stop grinded down so the blade can open all the way. heres a pic

Purdy. He did the air tubes the same way I do mine, copper tubing. I don't polish so pretty though. I think the bump/ridge was to help get the air tumbling in the intake. There are enough turns and curves before the valves that I don't think it was necessary. Some people cut the front side of the rod off to help flow but I am afraid it would lead to a twisted butterfly. "twisted butterfly" sounds like some kind of new-age rock band.
I have a Shaner S3 port job on my elec controlled TB. Purdy, oh yes. Does it actually give a noticable performance gain? Specifically for my 4.8L NA application, not really. Not a very good $$/Power ratio probably. More of an expensive "mod list item" in my case. :twocents:
Yeah man i've heard of 'Twisted Butterfly', they rock! I think it was put together by some former members of Twisted Sister and Iron Butterfly.Quote:
