Got a Problem!

I have a problem with my e-fans. I have Allen's fan harness. Basically they aren't coming on when the thermostat opens up. I don't know what is going on. Tonight I checked all my connecitons and everything looked good. I am getting one fan to turn on when I have the AC on but that's it. Nohting else, so I even went into the PCM and redid the PIN 42 connection to see if it was that but no dice. When I installed the harness I had to twist and flip the connectors to get them in. Could this have had any effect? Allen need your help yet again...sorry to be such a bother.

ok im sure you checked the fuse. how about getting a meter and seeing if the pcm is grounding the pin 42. you do have it turned on in the pcm right. check all connections and make sure they are tight.

You have to have your PCM programed to turn on the fans.

I f you don't have the fans programmed to come on at a certain temp, just wire in a toggle switch.

How do I find out if the PCM is grounding PIN 42, I have a meter that checks for voltage, exactly how would I go about doing this.

did you get a custom tune from nelson that turned on the fans in the pcm. if you did not get a custom tune then the pin 42 is not activated.

Set the meter so it will read battery voltage at least 14V. Put the red lead on the + side of the battery and the black lead to pin 42 when the fans should be on.

Yes, I have a Nelson tune. :burnout:

You can add a dummy light to pin 42. run 12v to the light and ground will be pin 42. If the light doesn&#39;t come before 220 degrees I would say you don&#39;t have cooling enabled on the PCM.

Well, Allen is sending me another PCM because of the problem with the shifting so hopefully it will work itself out.
