if it fits it ships.....
Well I got my tb converter today and let’s just say I’m not impressed at all with what the post office employee left on the front porch. I don’t know if they beat the shit out of things because they are pissed about mail delivery going down to 5 days a week or the shutting down of post offices, alls I know is I’m done using any of there shipping survives. I also plan on contacting the sender and asking why they didn’t pack it better.

See if you would have used a good company like Circle D this wouldn't have happened. :ugh2:

Never mind. I see in your other thread where it came from.

Well after emailing the seller then watching B horror movies and going to bed I feel better. This morning when I got up I hade a email in my inbox from the seller Saying:
I am sorry that your converter arrived in ripped off box.
This is the first time my converter arrived in ripped box as shown since I started using USPS 8 months ago. Please return the box to your local USPS station, tell them to "RETURN TO SENDER" so that they don't charge any fee, due to mishandling by USPS. As soon as I get the package, I can either send out replacement using UPS or give you full refund.
Sorry again for any trouble
So it’s good that he’s trying to make good. Now my question “how do I know if the converter is ok?” due to time restraints I’m considering installing it, manly due to the fact that the seller has a one year/10k mile free replacement policy and I can at least get my truck back on the road.
After looking the converter over it doesn’t have any cracks or scratches on the input housing what other things should I look for before I make the call on running it or not?

The only thing I would be worried about, regardless of the warranty, is the fact that if the converter goes out it may trash your tranny as well.
-
Would you install a converter that you threw with no packaging into about 20 different trucks, stacked tons of crap on top of, and hit with a sledge hammer a few times? Cause that is milder than what happens to a package during shipping.
Not worth blowing a trans over a bashed up converter.

good call guys, more time off the road now saves a lot of time later
