tighten the 1-10 20ft lbs 40ft lbs 60ft lbs 70ft lbs 75ft lbs if using ARP head bolts.
the 11-15 i tightened 10, 15, 20, 25ft lbs. it took longer yes, but it wasnt trying to tq just 1 bolt more and more ya know?
that looks like they are using ARP head studs, not bolts. what are you using?
do you have a Haynes Manual? follow those instructions
if u have factory bolts then i would use that method...
those spec's are for the blocks that have 3 different length bolts. the Haynes manual that i have the 10 that hold the head are the same length, and then you have the 5 shorter ones at the top of the head. that's the way you need to tq the heads bc the newer blocks dont have 3 different sizes.
yea i just got new bolts from gm(factory).....where can i find a torque specs/sequence for the 08'6.0 l92 heads??yea keniff i have the same ones 10 long ones 5 short to each head.
i dont have tq specs for the Gen IV blocks, i just used the specs for the Gen III blocks. works perfect.
bro you'll be fine, they are no different than torqueing any other head, i even used the howto to make sure i was correct when i installed my ls3 heads ;) only difference i used ARP head bolts and this being the 3rd time i yielded 10% more torque.Quote:

On stock, all the M11 bolts need to be torqued to 22ft lbs. Next step is to add 90 degrees of twist. Third and final step is another 70 degrees of twist. Lastely all M8 need to be 22ft lbs.
