Where is a good place to get a deeper 4L60E tranny oil pan for my 04 Silverado? Going to change the fluid and filter soon, so I figured it would be a good time to get one.

They have a few options on ebay (most are summitracing) there are some relatively cheap chrome ones...and the good ones are about 150-250
i was just looking for one a couple weeks ago
So, I forgot to ask if I will need to get a different oil pickup tube.
One thing I learned after running with a Tru-Cool 40K for a while down here in TX is that my tranny stays cool enough to justify staying with a steel deep pan, even running a higher stall torque converter.
I recently ordered a Dorman 265-811 OEM deep steel pan *with drain plug* for $44.99 shipped. You could put the money saved into upgrading your factory cooler, if you even have one.
Unlike some of the horror stories I've read about the drain plugs not coming off the OEM pans, this drain plug actually unscrews! The first thing I did when I received my pan was to make sure I could remove the drain plug by hand with a socket wrench. Works like a charm!
I could probably go with a steel pan since I don't pull anything with my truck.
The dipstick is the same for both pans, just need different filter.
B&M ftw.
Has anyone heard of the brand TCI? It's aluminum, cooling fins, and holds 2 extra quarts. I can order it from Auto Zone for $190.
it's only 140 on ebay.... one I ended up ordering
tci is THE NAME for oldschool torque converters and such...should be a real good product
