The factory setup on my 2000 5.3 doesn't look all that bad to me. Has anyone actually found more power on a dyno from an aftermarket CAI on these trucks?

of course an aftermarket intake it better...the factory is still restricted.
aftermarket would be a nice smooth 4' intake, engine gonna breathe better.
dont know on hp gains, but u can feel a little difference fo sho.
the night i put it on the v6, i felt a difference. i didn't really have a comparison with the v8 seein's how i never put the stock one back on
got the spectre set up it was like 120 bucks brand new, and you can hear it when you step on the gas and i get 1 1/2 miles pr gallon better, also i can feel the get up and go has gottan better. no real proof just feeling.
Factory looks not to bad, but its filled with misc baffles
Well stock flows good with a drop in k&n. And if you like the stock look, but want little more umph and growl... do the big a$$ hole in bottom of airbox mod.
I like my spectre for $110
... just don't waste money on a $300 CAI!!!
I agree with everybody else. Just go to ebay and find the $60 one that is the exact same as the spectre. I have one on my truck and it is identical to the AEM bruteforce...
Yea the ebay one is great also add a tb spacer if you like the whistle that comes with an CAI
