The tuner and the gears will void the warranty....at least the engine, trans, rear axle, PCM, etc. (technically).
Don't be mad at the dealer. Be mad that GM has rules and that they're not being followed. Why do we expect the dealer to be left holding the bag for a $2500 claim that gets rejected? If GM rejects a claim (and more and more these big ones are getting looked at very closely), the dealer eats the cost.
The best way to treat a situation is to realize that GM (not the dealer as the dealer is a franchise and can refuse service to anyone at any time although it's bad for business) has to prove (if you were to spend way to much on a lawsuit) that the mods directly caused a certain failure. Also, many times you can get by with hiding the mods as best as possible although any tech in his right mind would be able to tell it has 4.10's.....and the 07+ the dealer tech can tell if the PCM/TCM has been programmed.....even if a handheld is used to put the stock tune back in.
