New LS2 intake and 90mm Nick Williams TB for the 408

Well, I leaked it out earlier so I figured I'd start a topic concerning the swap from a stock LS1 intake with the factory 98 T/A throttle body to an LS2 intake with a 90mm Nick Williams throttle body on my 408 engine.

Are you going to have the LS2 intake ported to achieve maximum flow before you put it on?

looks good. I have a stock Ls2 heads, and intake i was thinking about swapping, along with an MTI stealth cam.

Should be some nice power gains.

Nice! Im considering the same thing.....Does anyone make an aftermarket DBW TB that will mount to the LS2 intake...wonder if i could use a stock LS2 TB....

The stock LS2 TB is DBW, it should work. Maybe Allen will see this and chime in.

Original message deleted. The adapter was a wiring harness adapter. This makes it possible to use the factory LS2 TB on the listed vehicles. You still must have a 90mm intake.

Thats correct. Could you port the intake on the heads to match?

its a direct bolt-on. You lengthen the MAP sensor wires and shim the fuel rails up for the LS1 type injectors. The rest is just remove and replace plus make a throttle cable bracket. The LS2 uses the same heads as an LS6, 243 castings. Its all the same. LS7/L76/L92 is different.
