800HP project

THis forum has helped me a lot so I thought to share with you all what my project entails: Can make more power but we will cut back the boost to bring it to 800.

472 cuin, Aluminum Block
8.5:1 ceramic coated pistons
60lb injectors
72cc AFR Heads
Lunati Crank
Eagle rods
3.3L Whipple Supercharger with 10 rib pulley set 10psi
Large Capacity Radiator
Large Capacity Intercooler
Headers
Corsa Touring Exhaust
Brembo 8 Piston calipers Front & 4 piston Calipers Rear
Eibach Suspension all around 2/1 drop with HD stablizer bars
Widened rims (20x11) 325/50VR20 TOYOs
Satellite Dish (DirecTV)

800 with that setup? MAYBE at the flywheel...not a chance at the tires...

The motor was put together and bench tested first. Naturally aspirated the motor made 564HP @ 6600RPM. With 7psi, it would be 864 at the crank so at 10psi, we should be there... At least I hope....

I am pretty sure thats every bit of 20,000 .... Thats a bad mofo ! I ran a whipple for years 80,000 miles ! trouble free hell of a set up ! :eek:

Yes my wallet is as light as it can get forgetting what I owe, then it would be negative... Yes I do need a larger tank. :cool:

where you located at? I would like to see you run it at the track when you get everything worked out!!

F-ing A! 472 with an enormous Whipple? That thing will haul ass with the AWD setup! How long until you drop the motor in?

Good to see a 3.3L being used finally.

Well, if all goes well, in two weeks or so it should be done. Its been a long and painful process, started the project in Feb 2006 :-( but the car has been down for two months now. As for the track, I probably will not race it. I am just not sure if I may brake something :(
