thanks alot..good luck with your build. ur english seems fine buddy dont worry lol...
ok so since i got the truck running i been cleaning up everything and noticed a leak. my trans cooler lines got kinked and now leaks whenever i start up the truck. so i just ordered the 1/4 to 6-an npt fittings for the trans case 45 degree -6an fittings and 10 feet of steel braided hose. i think that should be enough. also i noticed my oil pressure is really high. the adapter i ordered from s and p had a bunch of extra holes. what adapters are u guys using for the oil pressure sensor in the obs. once i install the trans cooler lines ill take some pics.
im also selling my blacked out corner lenses. $10 plus shipping..

oh ok cool. as far as the fuel lines it depends on how you want to set it up. you are going to need the corvette filter first. then you can either go with the steel braided hose and an fittings or just regular rubber hose and clamps. i did the rubber hose and clams because i was going by the obs to lsx thread, then i did some research and found out the an fittings with the steel braided hose is the best way to go. ill be changing mine soon.
heres a link to the filter

came out ok but i used the flat black and it looks faded. ill probably have to redo it with gloss or satin so it matches the carpet in the back.
i also figured out the park neutral switch FINALLY!!!! seems like the switch was in the wrong position so thats why the back up lights didnt come on or starter engage. i traced the wiring and figured out that the ground on the starter relay isnt any good. so i will have to run another ground so it will work. only issue is that the gear indicator doesnt work. any ideas guys??
got a lil delivery today..-6An fittings braided hose and fittings to connect to the trans case. also got my suspension..pro thane full polyurethane bushings! tomorrow i will hook up my new trans cooler lines. unfortunately the cooler on my truck doesn't have a screw on fitting to attach the hose so clamps it is!

hopefully these things dont leak. i took off all the wiring so i couldnt fire it up..gotta figure out how to get the transmission to align on the crossmember its a PITA with only one jack. damn adjustable mounts!
I have a few questions about your harness. Im working on my old harness right now and cant find exactly where the 4x4 harness ties into the engine harness...it seems as its basically a "standalone" harness. I need to put the 4x4 harness in with my nelson harness. If you have any tips lemme know!
Nope I told them that and they said 4x4 isnt a part of their harness. There harness is just the engine and tranny, they said the 4x4 "harness" on the obs truck is considered standalone. What I am trying to figure out is where that gets its power from because its not actually connected to the engine/trans harness. Sry myzterray for blowing up your build page, ill move this to my build page lol
PM sent regarding your AC setup .
I'm in the middle of sorting out this 4x4 wiring om my 98,it appears the PCM only wants to know if you are in 4WD or not,it has nothing to do with the operation of 4WD.Feel free to correct me if I'm not right(I'm used to that!).
Hey myz I know you are running the same headers as me, I put my drivers side on tonight and it just barely hits my frame rail. what did you do? get out the ole hammer and hit the header? lol or did you knock in the frame a little bit?
I had one doing that once and put a come-along on it and the opposite side frame and pulled it over. I didnt want to crush any pipes if I didn't have to.
Part Brand: Earl s Performance
Manufacturer Part Number: 9894DBHERL. Did these fuel line fittings work for you??
Other One is 9894dbjerl
Here's a question for the purchase of these two items:
""oil pressure sensor adapter and coolant temp adapter from s&p"" is this so you don't have to put new stuff in or what?
I was under the impression you had to change all of the stuff out for the new 5.3 equipment....????
What is the difference between a DBcable and a DBwire? Other than you have to have the pedals for one and not the other....
Great thread, love the detail. Been reading this all day off and on.... trying to figure out if this is something i want to do....I do... but looks like a lot of time.... Read about 15 pages of thread..... can't stop...
thanks! i wanted to be detailed because i wanted people to use my thread as a guide. the only reason mine is taking so long because i havent been working on it consistently took a month off plus i relocated so i didnt have tons of cash to throw at it. kind of a weekend project for myself im pretty sure if i bought all the parts in advance i could knock this swap out in a few days. also im learning as i go. now that ive done this swap and got it to run. i cant wait to do it again.
