When I was in high school, I drove the Tahoe that I still have. Any morning that it had rained or the parking lot was wet I would come in sideways, spinning tires and messing around and the same when leaving.
I had a good friend who was a year behind me and he later told me people would ask where that guy that was always drifting his Tahoe went. (obviously using drifting as a generic term)
So he started calling me Tahoe Drifter and so did several of my other friends.
And my trucks nickname, besides the obvious ('Hoe) is Slow Green Blur. That's another story... Lol
I thought it was like a "drifter" circa fastnfurious wanted to hear a cool sorry but got all ricer!
Drifter (person), a person who is continually moving from place to place, without any fixed home or job
Just messin' with the GMC Sierra....Si aira....and it has a Turbo in there so.... Si Boosted Aira. Hmmm....I considered Si Drifter Aira.......naw. Just kiddin'
Apology for the disappointment, but I'm definitely not a drifter in the latter sense, or a ricer.
Although, I wouldn't ever expect to see a Tahoe really drifting, i just mess around in the rain.
Will be doing a 5.3 swap with a 76mm probably before the year is out...
My username came from a neighbor who once called me the name because I always worked on engines and things of that nature. Ever since then, the name just stuck. That was about 37 years ago!
Mine means 1996 Regular Cab Short Bed Step Side. I'm hoping to swap out the 4.3 for a 5.3 or a 6.0 :-)
My name came from my friends. We were playing basketball one day and i got hit in the head with the ball and i said "jokingly of course" i think it cracked my skull, so ever since then i was called skully.

My first LS vehicle was my Arctic White 99 Z28, which started my LS engine fascination!
My name is medic because I am a medic of sorts, and 455 because since I was a small child my dream engine was the Buick GS 455 that my grandfather had.
