another small issue i'm hoping someone can help with. my truck throttle cable seems to be a little too short for the LS6 intake/throttle body.
when i connect the cable to the bracket on the intake & to the throttle body, the butterfly on the TB is open just a little bit.
before i start to modify the bracket i was wondering if anyone else had a solution? different cable, bracket, etc.....?
What cable are you using? The impala ss and 98 silverado vortec v8 fit just fine. You may have the rod on the accel pedal bent too far back or not installed right.
i'm using my stock 96 vortec cable. i haven't messed with the pedal. i just disconnected it from the old TB & set it aside. i'll check & see if i can get the little bit i need from the pedal. all i need is about 1/8". is the cable adjustable at the pedal?
you can bend the arm.
ray i used to have a Haynes manual when i had my crewcab. it had the wiring diagram in the back of the book. i will look to see if i still have it.
SHE'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
did the rough wiring this morning & just fired her up.
BS. Videos pronto.
hahaha!!! unfortunately i was here by myself & did want to run it long. only problem i see so far is no tach. i connected the white tach wire from my Nelson harness to the white tach wire (B2) on the C100 firewall plug.
anyone have any thoughts on what may be wrong? i've seen some people talk about a resistor to increase the signal but i was told it was just with the 03 up ECU. my ECU is from an 02 camaro if that makes a difference.
figure all the little problems out that way you will know all the tricks when i put mine in.
haha
