After a very long time sitting in my driveway I finally decided on playing with the truck for a bit. Got it running enough to where I felt comfortable driving it to the local exhaust shop and get the exhaust made. I'll post pictures soon. I went with the Schoenfeld long tubes to y-pipe to two glass packs and finally the Series 40 Flowmaster. I can say it sounds great, just enough at idle to let you know it's there. However, once you stab the throttle, OH BABY!
I did have one issue that may very well be the oil pump pickup tube o-ring. I have had it happen twice where just sitting at idle the oil pressure will drop to near zero!!! I shut it down and then start it up, oil pressure shows normal.
My last piece of the puzzle is installing the PSI wire harness and get rid of my ridiculous wiring that I hacked up. Can't wait to be able to finally, and reliably drive it.

Well, more bad news today. In diagnosing my oil pressure issue I removed the water pump and then the timing cover. To my surprise, SLUDGE. It is everywhere. Looks like the engine is coming back out and in turn getting an overhaul!

Took the day off from school in order to remove and dismantle the engine. I'm pooped, but the engine is out, disassembled and a bare block. I'll upload pictures tonight and then post them tomorrow. I'm asking for help. Any leads on replacement parts would be great. Here's what I am looking for:
1. Complete top to bottom gasket kit
2. Oil pump
3. Oil pump pickup tube
4. Lifters
5. Pushrods...if I can't get these cleaned
If you think of anything else...please let me know.

Shop around for prices,but I used Rock Auto for my rebuild,gaskets,damper and various other parts. I found the prices were better than others. I believe center image is the oil pan pick-up tube.

What's between that and the engine stand? That's what I was referring to. But yes, you are correct in your previous statement.
