I have one on my old 60e in the garage, I can pull it out and shoot a pic of how its assembled if that will help. It will be tonight, though.
are u using that trans if not can you bring the servo assembly to the dyno day so i can look at it?
Are these the kits you installed? Superior Transmission Parts' 700-R4/4L60-E Super Servo
Superior's 4L60/4L60-E Super Servo
Yeah, I'll try to remember to bring them with me. Did he install a vacuum mod kit, too? If so, it has to have a bypass valve for boosted applications. That is why it would slip if a vacuum kit has been installed.
yeah, we installed all the servos you listed above but they were not in the package, he has had it for a while, and it was just all thrown in a big box....no we did mot install the vac mod
Does it shift normal with the stock servos back in? You need to make sure you assemble all of the servo parts the same way you took them out. VERY IMPORTANT. I would get online and see if you can find some sort of servo installation guide of how to install one.
You should fill the converter with fluid before stabbing it back onto the tranny. Then once everything is back in, fill the tranny with 4 quarts of fluid. Then start it and drive around for a minute to get everything warm and moving correctly, then add tranny fluid as needed.
Yes, they use a spring!
There's two springs in a Vette servo. Having not installed the billets I defer to others on them. If it was a new converter AND you had the pan off you'll need quite a bit of fluid to fill it ---> 6-8 qts at least....especially if the new converter was installed dry.
