$10 to watch

We have over 20 committed to race for the event from the Lightning forums, and im sure that number will grow some more over the next week :burnrubb:
Well we have 15ish here. A handful from pt.net that don't post up and then those un named that will just show up without saying they are coming
Is this a test and tune? Or private night?
test and tune but they have reserved two lanes especially for us
I got a response back today and she had some questions, so I thought I would post it let yall voice your opinions
Also she is asking if we have anyone that would want to announce for the shootout, maybe one guy from the Lightning side and one from the GM Side?

That sounds great! If you could get me some information about the different groups that are racing that way I can post some information online next week. Also, do you have one or two guys from each group that could come up and do some commentating while those two groups run on Friday? We do not have an announcer on Fast Fridays, so it would be great if you have a guy or two who could come up to Race Control during that time and I would give them the mic.
My idea is to designate 2 lanes for your group. One for Lightning forum and one for Chevy forum. The lanes would be open all night from 7pm-12am. Do your guys just run as many times as they want? Are you going to be keep up with that or are we going to have to make announcements? What is your idea on that? Also, the dial ins that you are putting on the back of their trucks…that is just for you, correct? We do not do dial ins on Fast Fridays it’s just time trials. Are you wanting us to put dial ins on the board? Let me know what you’re thinking about that. Also, we do have a lane already designated for grudge racing all the trucks have to do is come into those two lanes side by side so they are pulled to race each other. We do not rearrange in the grudge lanes. You run who you are next to. We give out a lane assignment sheet to the racers when they go thru tech.
Let’s pin down those details and I will get you the lane assignments so you can go ahead and communicate those details with your guys. I’m really excited and hope that this forum challenge is a great new hit for FAST FRIDAYS!!
Thanks,

That sounds fine to me. I dont want to announce because I'll be racing. Maybe we could get Melissa on here to do our announcing.
This didn't sound like a dial in type thing to me but someone else can make that call of course.
Are they reserving two lanes or are they putting both groups in the grudge lane? I got confused :doofus:
No we have a our own too lanes and if there is any gruderacing to be had then they have a couple of other lanes for that too(for the whole ennis crowd)
We were going to set it up like this so its not so much bracket racing but makes the runs competitive
Make a few dial in passes and write the time on there back window as followed.
13.00-13.50= L13
13.60-14.00= H13
12.00- 12.50= L12
So on and so forth
and anyone who has like L12(12.0-12.50) on his back glass and runs a 11.xx the he looses the race
We have the volunteer to do some announcing for the Lightning crew, we are just waiting for a volunteer from the GM boys...
do we need to put something on our windows so the track people know we are participating in the shoot out?
If you in the lanes that will be given to us, then they know if your in the shootout.
They only thing needed on your back glass is what class your truck will be in, example: High 13sec(13.5-13.99) Low 13sec (13.00-13.49) ect. and the normal track number for ET slips
Looks like I will be making it in a Sonic Blue Lightning!
lol who are you riding up with?
Screen name Rook in Svtperformance, we are at PSI Motorsports the truck is on the dyno and we are talking about going not a sure yet but looks good! He lives in Arkansas so he think of leaving it here with me and picking it up later. It will do a 10 sec run with the numbers it's hitting!:dancenana:
dang thats a far drive
We still need a voluteer to do some commentating for the GM crowd:thumb:
They get to spectate and announce from the operations box up top:)
Will there be a stock L at this meet? Scrappy is bringing a stock 04' 5.3L truck, would be cool to race the two to get a comparo.
FYI on Lane assignments
Quote:
We will be handing out flyers on Friday so everyone knows what lanes to go to, I don’t have the lanes 100% in concrete, but I will go ahead and assign Lane 4 to LIGHTNINGS, and Lane 5 to SILVERADOS. If we cancel the race I will send you an email and the rain date will be Friday, June 26th.
I will update as necessary
They gave the Lightnings lane 4 because they can't count to 5...
