Question on oiling for the turbo. Just for cleaner and cooler oil to the turbo has anyone ever tried a stand alone oil system for just the turbo? As in reservoir, pump, cooler, lines in a closed system for just the turbo?

theres no need for the standalone setup.... just complicates things for no real gain
I will try and post some turbo pics... think i got a couple sitting around .... I am with quik... a think a 76mm would be more then fine... I would not go to the 88 due to lag and being way to big .. its not a nitrous kit that one size fits all.. i have a few lsx mustangs that make 700s on 15-17psi with 370 and stock heads and mild 230 cams... and thats with a/a intercoolers WildEracing had a 67mm on a 6.0 and 14psi went 11.40s in an ex cab 4x4 .......... think he said it was making mid/high 500s truck around 4700lbs
hell yea post em man, thanks for the info.
When you decide what you want, let me know and I'll get you pricing. We're also a dealer for I.D. injectors. As Greg mentioned, they're the best injector you'll find.
Do it once, do it right.
now lets talk about my gearing,i know all you turbo guys have the 4speeds with 3.42s/3.23s/3.08s...well im running the 6speed the 456s are coming out for sure...what gear ratio u guys think would work best...i stll have my oem 323s...may throw them back in since 6spds come with 342s originally.
throw'em back in, i run 3.50's with a tall tire, runs good.
the 6speed auto is gonna make up for any lowend loss, plus the turbo will enjoy it.
And hook a honky up with 4.56s
I have a freind running a 5.3 turbo in a ranger, he has a 72 trim turbo ls6 cam and tuned 12 psi on e85 dynoed 497 at the wheels just food for thought.
