when running a TH 400 do i need the VSS hooked up? will i need a PRNDL switch...i will be running it without a tune for a while..what will i have to do to ''make it work''?
My brother's Chevelle didn't need any of that crap. He's running a 5.3 with a Turbo 350. We bought a harness without the trans plug though. Don't know if that matters.
well i was reading somewhere that it doesnt matter what transmission u have that u should always have a VSS bc it wont run right without it:ugh2:
well i learned why it cost so much to get a custom harness made...tried it and failed..got the stand alone part done but when i tried taking everything out i didnt need i ended up with things i needed coming off so now i have a bunch of spare connectors lol
I got the harness for my brother's Chevelle off ebay for $350. Not a bad price imo.
making the stand alone is easy so im just gonna get another harness and try it again and just leave all the connectors on it incase i decide to go with a 4l60..i doubt i ever will but u never know
Do you have any extra vss connectors? If they will work with a 4l80e vss I sure could use them.
Btw, I don't think you'll need any trans connectors if you are running a th350 or th400. You'll just have to have your tuner turn the trans stuff off.
