I need to buy these already but how the hell do I check out!?
Did anybody's stock A/C lines hook up?
I am in the process of setting up the A/C with the brackets and found my stock '93 A/C lines are way too long and the hard lines out of the compressor actually head in the wrong direction....need to find an alternative for the stock lines....the line going to the condensor will be OK but the line going to the drier needs to be way shorter......not sure if there is a stock application from another vehicle that will bolt right up to the back of the stock compressor.............anybody have the same problem??
my buddy is using the ac bracket from dirty dingo on his 92 with a 6.0 swap. It allows you to use the factory air compressor
In my application the job at hand now is coming up with the right A/C hoses to fit the set up.....and sounds like others have run into the same problem when using aftermarket brackets.........
The Powers A/C bracket hangs the R4 compressor LOWER and rotates it counterclockwise (when looking at the front of the vehicle).......easiest and cheapest fix is to cut the suction line flush with the mounting block on the back of the compressor, drill out the block to the OD of the line, stick it back in, reposition it to get the line where you need it and TIG weld it in position..........my truck is a '93....position would depend on where your fittings align out of the drier and such..............
Just have a custom hose made and massage the metal lines out of the flange.
