My aunt lived 60 miles north of San Fran. I went out there once. I may go again one day to see the national parks. Otherwise, I hate that place. I have never seen worse traffic than LA and San Fran. Atlantas traffic is nice comparatively. I think once you get out there you will regret it. If you dont go you will regret it. So your screwed either way.
My aunt now lives in Ozark AlabaMa.
Thanks for all of the input, especially yours dezert. I've wanted to try it out ever since I was much younger for all of those reasons you mentioned(except surfing, I'll stay out of the shark's yard). So it is not just the fiancé, she has just now cometo the idea I have had for years. We are going there for our honeymoon and will think of it and research it further from that point even. The only thing Texan about me is my speaking habits which I am already working to change, so hopefully it won't be as hard to fit in. I change with my environment quickly and work hard so I'm not really afraid of making it. The way I see it is; if other people are making it then we can too.
