Sounds good man!!!!
Pfft. Cover. November in the calendar is where it's at
Well, got to take it to the track this weekend. This entire conversion is a success in mine and the people who are helping me's, mind.
With the carb EXACTLY HOW IT CAME OUT OF THE BOX FROM QUICKFUEL, the truck picked up 7mph, yes 7, naturally aspirated over my previous best with the factory fuel injection. The 60' was more .1 better than my previous best on motor and it was almost .6 quicker in the 1/4 over my previous best. Red Truck then made a couple quick changes to the carb and we picked up another .02 and 1mph.
So, with one day at the track and minimal tuning, we picked up more than .1 in the 60', almost .6 in the 1/4 and 8mph, on a not so good sunday test and tune track.
To say the least, I'm very happy with the truck. And we're only getting started.
First passes with e85. Messed with the timing very little. I ran 28* with injection and 91 octane. I started with 30* this last weekend with the carb and that's probably where it will stay for now. I put 2* more in it and it only picked up .06mph.
Not to say it won't take more eventually with more tuning, but as of now, just a 2* difference in timing
Gotcha bud. Just checking to see what changed in the timing.
Wow those are some big gains. I am sure the stock air/fuel system couldn't touch the flow on the carb setup. Nice work! What does that put your PB N/A at?
So going from a truck intake and 78mmtb to a 850cfm Carb and Vic jr with more timing netted 7mph gain in cooler weather...that's pretty gain with the increase in air movement
Finally made it in to the 12s lol
