We don't hate them, they're just inferior!!:spit:

alright, then you guys have a very bad attitude toward superchargers. i prefer to stay in the middle, i like both and its stupid to say one thing is always better then the other, they both have their place. now centrifugal superchargers, those are straight garbage. however there was a guy with two of them on a duramax and a big turbo feeding them, and in that case it was bad ass.
I think it goes both ways, a lot of charger guys dont care for turbos, and vice versa. I dont have a problem with low rpm torque. I cut a pretty good 60ft. I feel with my rear mount. Yeah I may not be putting as much power to the ground as a charger, but I mean by the time they stop spinning from the low end torque roasting there tires on the street, im already moving and fully spooled and gone.
Plus a lot of us see most of our street races on the freeway, so I know that my rear is gonna help me more then a charger would.
theoretically IF i ever wanted to get past 12 psi then i would consider a turbo worth the money considering i would already have spent money on the supercharger.[/quote]
The amount of boost has nothing to do with it. My setup makes in the neighborhood of 600 rwhp at 7.5 psi.
like i said, both good in different ways. a little street truck works better with a turbo. if i had a 4x4 then i would definitely want a blower. most anything 2wd will have traction issues off the line on the street anyways though.

I'd love to figure how you do that. I have an LS1 with 6psi and I bet I don't make even 400hp.
The turbo guys DO NOT hate the blower guys. The blower guys eventually turn into turbo guys. I bet your brothers whipple is on a mustang. A lot smaller motor and intercooled. The end result is still garbage. Thats my opinion and it is based on Ownership experiance. Your basing your info on . . . . .. well we don't know.
We are obviously not helping the OP in his decision. Lets just stop now.
my brothers Whipple is on a 350, because he likes a lifted truck to perform like a truck. down low. on all your little street trucks its different i guess.
edit: its not intercooled, just water/meth injection.
There it is. Your a 4x4 guy. Thats why you like supers so much. Just so you know. My little street truck, Its 4 wheel drive.
I knew there was a reason you were so adamant about supers. :tvhaha:
Sorry I just thought it was weird you drive a duramax and were arguing for a supercharger. If I had to do it over I'd have a duramax now and a vette later instead of vette truck.
