Alright G ... Lets pull my tranny send it off and get it fixed ... When it gets back its all yours for the meet !! BUT whatever you break you buy lol !!! Its up to you !! Let see what FLT' s are made of !!
And you need a stall converter to go with it.
I'll be getting off of work at 5 and i'm gonna run to the house and clean up, dont imagine i'll make it to 45 to catch you, i'll head north of here on 287, it's alot faster. but i sincerely appreciate the offer, i'm gonna be in Huntsville this weekend rebuilding the ignition in my Mom's jeep, give me a shout if your not busy and i can posslby meet you somewhere, thats the weekend of the 18th
Bring it back to me and I'll fix it to work for a while instead of the 3 weeks you said you needed to trade it the last time. Might cost a lot more in parts but I'd give you a major labor break as long as I get to see the low and blue again :spit: It needs started over 'cause too many have had their paws in it swapping to weirdo stuff. I still have an input housing new in the box that will fit the proper number of forward and 3-4 clutches instead of those thinner, put more in there deals some aftermarkets use...
Its my FLT Nathan !!! I burnt the pump up because I didn't shim the converter .. :( .. I have done talked to finish line and they said they'll help me out .. I just have to send it back in .
Correction G ^^^^ for proper grammar you needed to use "asses" not "ass"...
OMG I'm shocked there was another between by cheapo and this. Wait, no I'm not....my cheapo was number six.
More Ardmore details have been requested with little response.
Dood...
Wave, honk, or stop then. Might need to be picked up.
 i wish my truck was ready
How many shims do you usually have to put in for a yank?
all i know is its a pita
I'm only going if I can borrow some slicks...pointless going otherwise.
Moze pulling stops.
huh?
I can only go if....
Don't mean to threadjack, but does yank require different bolts rather than the stock ones?
Ugh - I'm tired. I thought this was the Ardmore thread. :awake:
i have all the stuff to get my truck going, but might not make it now.... well is drilling slow.... but on the up side, will prolly have twins by the next meet......
I might head out there. Might be the only Caddy out there. Been wanting to see what it runs in the 1/4. It will be slow.
Dave, some Yank converters require you to use 1/8" washers inbetween the converter ears and the flexplate. If you do not do this, when you bolt up the converter--either the converter flops around and bangs against the flexplate or you pull the converter too far off the hub and the pump seal is not solid and you can burn up the pump.
I would recommend using RTV or a type of glue to set the washers on the flexplate--cause if hyou don't do that, it will take little fingers to get in there and put the washer inbetween the converter ears and the flexplate--while trying to get the bolt on...
