Are you going to run with an oil cooler? I saw the oil cooler fitting on the oil pan, If not the Chevy dealer has the block off plate and gasket for $9.00. I just bought one for mine, that's how I know...X2 on the cool idea for the wire loom idea, I just wonder about the heat and that stainless with the wires in tight quarters??
No oil cooler, at least for now. :lol: In fact, the fitting on the pan is blank. I'd already bought the regular block off plate to go on the other pan. I may drill and tap this fitting for a pressure guage sending unit, though.
I had wire looms like that before on my sbc and it worked great. The tubing and brackets are carbon steel. Only the end plugs are stainless
I ordered these headers today instead of running the manifolds. Ordered a 4.10 ring and pinion set, and these little boogers for the steam holes. I ordered 2 blanks for the rear, and two with 1/8" NPT ports. I'll probably drill and tap an 1/8" port in the water pump, and either use -4AN hose or 1/4" brake line for plumbing.

Well, with my son's baseball schedule, mine and my wife's work schedules, revival at church, and other things happening, it's been a slow past couple weeks for progress on the truck.
I did finally get around to making(but not completing) the coil pack bracket setup. I decided to mount them behind the intake using the two rearmost holes in the valley cover.

I went ahead and fed the wires through for a test fit. Looks like I may need to send them back and get 45 deg boots. I'll double check when I get my headers in to make sure they will work.

Yeah I really like what you did with the wires too. Are you going to polish the pipes at all, or leave them like that? It looks great the way it is either way
