AWD Conversion How-To

The old Sy/Ty/Astro case as well as the SSS/Escalade and C3/02-SD case does not use brake modulation and actually does send power to the grip wheel.

I do own a 4wd truck, I just dont see the point in switching to an awd, i mean maybe if you live in a place where the road conditions are harsh or just have tremendous traction problems but that will happen with a high hp vehicle

i guess i should post videos of virgil on a 2wd dyno, in his AWD SS with the front drive shaft removed.

wow i was off, sorry i misread a lot of information, for your app the awd aption makes a lot of sense and it makes me consider doing that to my truck once i have finished all of the other performance upgrades
i am still wondering what wheels you have though, my favorite wheels on a truck so far

Silverado SS wheels. Best ever. Too bad my truck is down. I miss it terribly.
It awaits a 4l80e level 5. Sucks I have to fence, tile, hardwood, vynil the house before I fix it. Wanna buy a GTO.

Vinyl is paid for along with windows for the entire house and screened in porch turned into sunroom. Tile is here and kitchen will be installed this thursday. Bathrooms are done. Vinyl and wondows start next saturday. Now I am so broke I can't pay attention.

So you want to buy a GTO 26k miles 05 ls2 17.5 and I will delver it anywhere in the lower 48.

I've seen and recorded it as well....right before I almost ran over myself pulling he front shaft off my Denali on a hill at the toy drive dyno day last Christmas time. :naughty:

Really depends on if you have a torsion bar front suspension. Change spindles and add all of the awd components if you do. If you are not torsion bar forget it. It would not be worth it. Just my tres centavos.
