I know this topic is about the billet servo, but I thought I would add that I just installed a vette servo into my 06 4l60e and the parts looked exactly the same. Vettte servos being stock parts in newer transmissions may be worth looking into if your planning to instal one.

I've wondered that myself. I've heard some already have them but I have not been able to confirm which years and models.

can you tell the difference, visually? Since mine is an 07, I wanted to figure out which one I had from the factory. Sounds like the billet servo isnt the best idea on a stock tranny, but Im interested in a Vette servo.

I can say that the parts on the billet kit were different enough to confuse wuite a few people. Now, the vettes appearantly are close to stock.
Tell you what. I have billets in my v6 truck, I want to put them in the vette since I have a th400 for the truck. SO when I take out the vettes servos I will take pictures of it compared to the billets. If you would like.

Good idea Jeff but the way I read it and the way I responded was that the stock parts might be the same as the "Vette" parts in some transmissions.

I will have all 3 out. Stock 4l60e, stock corvette, and billet. You think some trannys might allready have the bigger vette servos?

well considering how cheap the vette servos are, it cant be a bad idea to swap it out

The transmission teacher from my school also told me that most of our trucks already had vette servos but i didnt believe him because so many poeple have done it...He ended up losing a 15 dollar bet and owed me a set of servo's but i think its definetly worth trying...only takes 30 minutes and we you can spend $300 on a K&N then we can surely spend $15 on some servo's! :lol:
