Yesterday went to my dads house along with my neighbor. We pulled the motor and installed all the parts to install the 5 speed trams. Everything went on good and is all in the truck.
Thanks to everybody who chimed in and helped.
Now to take care of all the wiring. I want to get rid of all the extra wiring to declutter the engine bay.
Took some time and cleaned up the engine and installed the carb and intake.

Now I need some help with these two wires. I think the red with black goes the starter solenoid correct me if I'm wrong. What does the purple wire go to. It has a non stock connection on it.

Red=always hot on the big nut of the starter
Purple=hot when starting on the small nut of the starter
(info based on my 94)
Mine is a 90
Should be the same. I wish I had a wiring schematic of the ignition.
If you see on both pics you'll see I bought new 2 gauge battery to starter wire and ground wire. Does the small black and red wire go with the purple wire on the small nut of the starter? Or does it go on the big nut?
I don't know for the small black and red wire...but I'm sure you know it but usually red are + and black ground. You are supposed to have only the purple wire on the small starter nut and only to big wire that go direct form + on the batterie to the big nut on the starter.
Yes sir I do!
The black and red wire is coming from the junction box on the fire wall if that helps any.
I went ahead a put the black and red wire to positive on battery and my truck came alive. Everything works as far as lights, dash, and windows. So this wire needs to have constant power.
Been a while.
With work and buying a new house i had not done anything to the truck.
I just recently got settled in and move the truck from my dads house to my new house.
I got it to fire for a couple seconds with the fuel that was in the fuel bowls of the carb. I was nervous about that.
So now to get it going right.
Took the rear brakes apart to clean them up and found a leaking brake cylinder. Ill be working on that and marked where im going to cut for the notch.
Mounted the wheels to see if there would be any clearance issues. Everything looks good even with truck weight on suspension
