4.8L Cam Question

Am I wasting my time messing around with my 4.8L? I have been reading this book How to Build High Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8s by:Will Handzel. It has a lot of good info. but they keep talking about there is no replacement for displacement. I know that the more cubic inches you have the more potential there is to produce power. What kind of possible potential is there in my 4.8L? Every one is doing a 6.0L swap! Im just looking into the possibilities of making a mean 4.8L. I would like to do something different if it is feasible. Please pour your info. and ideas on me!!!

the zero is too small in 4.8 it should read 408 :rock:

Displacement is king. A power adder on top of displacement is even better than a power adder on a matchbox car engine. :thumb:

Having an extended cab truck, its going to be hard to build a monster N/A 4.8L. It will take alot of money. Not if you spray it, your talking a whole dif situation.

I say look at FF Jeff, he has the same truck as you. he ran 13.4 with full bolt on and spray.....and a lil 4.8 that could

What if I do a head swap too or other mods to complement the cam? Im definetly going to put a 3500 stall.

Honestly don't wast you money on the 4.8 like i did...go 6.0 or bigger
