i have 3/4 inch spacers and then stock covers on top of those.. the rockers were too tall to just use stock covers.
new gaskets on the spacer, reused the gaskets on the covers themselves.
i checked those and they appeared dry to me.

Nice... send it to me if you decide not to use it... lmao
Your engine bay is a mess!!
yeah i know.. i gotta move the regulator
Yep, just when things were once again on track... think I lost o.d. in this heat...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feb46ZHdldA
watch the gear indicator and listen for the shifts.... gonna have to drop it off with Mr. G again.. just need to bum a ride
oh, IGNORE all the guages on the right.. all those stepper motors are bad and are going to be replaced. I have proper oil pressure and the engine temp was maybe 188 today (was 215 yesterday with AC on.. so i drove most of yesterday with no AC)
Is that an electric vacuum pump mounted on the left side of the brake booster?
you tell me.. thats what came on it.
i.e. stock
Has to be what that is. Maybe a gm tech will see it and know.
i hate that thing.. i wanna remove it..
What did that alternator set you back?
Cost me a couple hundred..
Doesn't sound like sponsorship if you have to pay for parts. A sticker on the back window doesn't count as a sponsorship.
Most sponsorships are not full ride, common types are 50 to 75% off wholesale.
Ahh ok, so what makes your truck worthy of sponsorship? I'm missing something here.
yeah, you get to buy product at dealer cost or even less, sometimes.
how would they even know if you even put the stick on your truck?
ok i love this adjustable FPR.. but.. why when i got home.. did it read 55 psi, then i readjusted for 65 psi (should be 58 but i was compensating for the shift i saw).. this morning, it reads 100 psi!!! I know its set to 65 psi.. 30 miles down the road.. 80.. 75... finally resting between 60 and 65.. the regulator is rated at a max of 70! Im confused as to why it does that..at this point, im pointing my finger at the Glowshift guage, or that guages sending unit.. think im on the right track?
So, explain how you have the regulator plumbed. Is the fuel going to the rail, return fuel is going to the side of the regulator and the return line to the fuel tank is hooked to where the feed comes out of the bottom of the regulator (end opposite of spring) ?
ok fuel send from tank into one side of the regulator, other side of regulator goes to fuel rail, bottom line from regulator goes to the return line.
That sounds right. You don't have a kink in the return line anywhere do you? I would suggest you put a manual gauge on it and verify the fuel pressure. It shouldn't be fluctuating like that, for sure. You might try running the truck with the gas cap loose to see if maybe the fuel vent is plugged up, if you find the fuel pressure readings you're getting are accurate.
no.. its right out of the bottom of the regulator, into the return line.
ok so i got the polished alternator on.. and i got some procharger brackets and pulleys... project is still on going folks...
